Details: | SUMMARY: Well 4 reactivated, reviewed monitoring requirements DETAILS: Keith called to say the intertie with Klamath Falls has still not been approved by OIT management as a seasonal water source. So, the PWS will need to call on Well 4 again this year if needed for fire flows or other emergencies. As before 2013, they will have the well activated so that if their reservoir drops too low, Well 4s pump will automatically come on. I agreed to reactivate Well 4 in database. This will also reactivate the chemical monitoring at EP-B that was suspended in 2013, so he needs to take nitrate, VOCs, and SOCs samples from EP-B which he plans to do next week (in addition to routine coliform). I also verified that he needs to take a quarterly arsenic sample before the end of June at the two locations that exceeded in late 2014. After 2 quarters of those results, we can review the monitoring status. In December 2015, he will need to take only one TTHM and one HAA5 sample (not dual sets), which preferably will be taken at the DBP02 site, because there was a detection for one of the 2 analytes there last year. ACTION NEEDED: Notify DMCE to reactivate Well 4 and EP-B. Notify Keith that he will also need to submit one raw water (source) sample from Well 4 this year. |
