Details: | SUMMARY: DBPs and funding DETAILS: Jim phoned to let me know they are trying to finish up the SIPP SRF application with the help of the Circuit Rider, but he had heard HBH had lost the contract and may not be available to assist them much longer. Meanwhile, re: their ongoing DBP issues, Jim thinks that the Sept DBP sample may not have been respresentative of the water after they moved the chlorine injection point because it was collected only a week after that change. Now that they are in the 4th quarter, they could take a new sample, though their assigned month is December. He asked if they could take a DBP sample for their own feedback that was not for compliance, just to see where things are now. After researching, I informed him that they could collect a DBP sample that was from a different location, not the approved compliance sampling site, and then they would not have to report it. If it was reported anyway, it would not be included in compliance results because of that location. They could also take 1 sample in Nov and 1 in Dec at the compliance location - then those 2 would be averaged for the 4th quarter result in the RAA. Jim also reported that one resident had drilled a well and got 15 gal/min. ACTION NEEDED: Check on status of Circuit Rider contract and when the current one ends. Await the Weiss funding application. |
