| Details: | SUMMARY: Truck in Bull Run Reservoir DETAILS: A Ptld Water Bureau employee had a vehicular accident resulting in a truck going into the reservoir behind dam #2. The accident occurred in an "arm" of the reservoir, on its way to the spillway. While connected to the main body of the reservoir, it is not in direct line with the intake. the employee was taken to the hospital. The truck is completely submerged and the area around the truck was boomed off right away. Ptld Water Bureau is equalizing the water flow into and out of the reservoir to minimize water flow from the place were the truck is submerged to the two water intakes. At this point no water quality impact is known to have occurred. Yone Akagi is the point of contact at the Ptld Water Bureau (503 823-7648). Ptld Water Bureau will be lift the truck out of the reservoir later. The media was not aware of it yet, but Yone had contacted OERS. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
