| Details: | SUMMARY: Vandalism incident at Mt. Tabor reservoir 7 DETAILS: PWB had an intrusion into Reservoir 7 at Mt. Tabor on night/morning of May 27/28th. Intrusion was discovered at 4 am, police were called. Vandals broke into Portland Parks Bureau storage shed and removed some of the contents. Hatch to Reservoir 7 was broken into, some of the contents of the shed were thrown into reservoir. The reservoir was isolated as quickly as possible (noon on 28th) and testing was completed for VOCs, coliform and oils/grease. Reservoir was drained and cleaned and put back online after test results received. Various items included 30 feet of a plastic and an unopened bottle of hydrochloric acid. As part of the followup, PWB is determining what other Parks bureau sheds are near their reservoirs and ensuring that the sheds do not contain bottles of chemicals or other hazardous materials that can be thrown into a reservoir.
